Istrian tradition with Baredine Cave

This weekend we have visited the 'Fest on the threshing floor,' an event dedicated to traditional Istria, cultural awareness and preservation of Istrian history.

Istrian wine, a rich gastronomic offer and wheat threshing by hand tools, donkeys, and the famous Istrian ox, the biggest domestic animal in the world, showed visitors how bread and olive oil were made before modern machines took over the production process. Children and adults had fun with exhibitions of tractors, known as Tractor Story open all year round, and gathered for a unique experience of Istria. Tradition in Konobon Gallery

Presentations of tool making by farmers sharing their knowledge with visitors, making of homemade bread, a spectacular taste of different kinds of olive oil, showed that Istria, once again, is a holiday destination you would not want to miss. Your taste buds will rouse in all the Mediterranean flavours you could imagine by the intense wine aroma spreading through your body and feeling the best of Istria.

Baredine Cave organized an event that enriched visitors with a holiday memory they will not forget! We had spoken with some visitors; all of them were more than satisfied and delighted to visit this event. Konobon Gallery, a historic museum in which you could enjoy the best olive oil of the area, brought us exhibitions and degustation of olive oil products.

It doesn’t stop there; although this event is happening once a year (don’t miss it next year!), Baredine Cave, Konobon Gallery, and Tractor Story are opened for visitors all year round.
